Hi there !
Recently I have done a general upgrade of my computer's hardware
involving replacement of HDDs.

The problem I now encounter is the following: my old HDD is a 6GB drive.
I wanted to delete all the data and re-partition it by Paragon Partition
Manager and by some method the result was the following: only 2GB were
recognized and are partitionable and formattable. Also during the boot
sequence the HDD is only recognized as a 2GB drive. So I do not have
access to the remaining 4GB any more which I would like to have to....

Anybody can help me on this ?
Thanky in advance, Christian

PS: I am running Windows ME

What have you got the drive type
entry in the bios set to for that drive ?

You should have it set to AUTO in a modern
system and AUTO AUTO in an older system.

Likely you have numbers entered there that
give a 2GB drive. Modern drives just pretend
to be whatever you have in the drive type entry.

If you use an AUTO drive type entry, the bios asks
the drive how big it is and uses that size instead.

Actually it is the bios doing the pretending.

OK, I will try to configure the BIOS: Currently the setting is AUTO
