I'm wondering how to revert back to the generic HDD drivers W2K first
installed before I told it there were 'better' Intel chipset drivers.
Does anyone know how to uninstall Intel's drivers and have W2K go back
to its generic HDD drivers?
Reason I'm doing this is, I use the exact same W2K install switching
between to different laptop PC's. One laptop is used at home, the other
for travel. I can switch between the two laptops (which have the same or
very similar hardware) except W2K hangs when it initializes Intel's HDD
drivers (blue screen, even in safe mode). Experimented with a clean
install of W2K, no Intel chipset drivers, and all worked well. So the
issue causing the BS is the HDD drivers.
Anyone know how to revert back to generic drivers (and prevent Intel's
from reloading)?
TIA
