hdd: bad sectors recovery tool?

hello,

is there any software to recover bad magnetized area (not physically
damaged) on hdd that works with windows 2000?

I look for something similar to good, old Spinrite. but Spinrite works
only with FAT/FAT32 partitions..

Typically the hard disk manufacturer offers tools for download that'll
accomplish this. These tools will destroy any existing data on the hard disk
though, so be sure to backup first.

yes, I know.. I thought that there was a tool like Spinrite that doesn't
destroy data..
