I've just installed a DVD-WR Samsung TS-H552 inside my pc and now the HDD
led is always on, even with no read/write activity.
Disconnecting the DVD-WR the HDD led works perfectly again.
I tried every solution connecting the DVD-WR to primary or secondary
controller as master, slave or cs, but with no result.
I've two O.S. working in dual boot: WinXP Pro SP2 and Linux Red Hat Fedora1.
In Linux the HDD led works well with the DVD-WR connected too, so cables and
hardware connections seem right.
Starting the system, the HDD led turns on after the Bios screens, just
booting WinXP, and it never switch off.
Thanx
