HD replacement issue

OK, this isn't a MS related question, but I thought this would be a good
place to attract smart people to answer my hardware questions!! :)

I need a replacement HD for my I8200. It seems Dell and their website is
very poor at finding the "right one" to go into it. This computer has a
limited use, so I don't need anything fast or large, but a durable and
inexpensive one would be nice. Any resources anyone could point out would be
great. At the very least if someone could tell me if there is something
compatable without having to make changes to the other hardware, that would
be great.

More generally -- I guess I am wondering if there is s this a "standard"
connector? If so, do I need to be concerned with the standard being used
(i.e. ATA-5 or -6)??? I haven't done much work on laptop hardware, so I
don't know if there is a standard for these removable pieces.

Thanks!

The first question is why are you replacing your HD? With the increase in HD
sizes and availability you can get a 2nd HD or at least 120 gig for about 60
bucks. You can even get 250 and up for very little more. If you don't want
to open up your computer you can add a USB drive same sizes are available.
You give us very little info. We need more info about what you have now and
why the replacement.

Regards,
The current HD failed. This computer is used to upload and download CNC
programs, so it does not need to be fast, large, or anything. It is going to
run this one program and store a bunch of text documents. But, with the
failure -- I need the new one so the computer will boot up!
