I wonder if you can help me.
I have a Desktop PC that has broken so I have ordered a new one and am
awaiting its delivery.
I do not know if the HD's in my broken PC are damaged or whether they are
still in good working order.
What I wanted to know; and I do not know if this is even possible, is, once
the HD's have been removed from my broken PC, is there anyway that I can
connect my old internal HD's to a port on the back of my new desktop PC so
that I can see if the data is intact and transfer what files I need without
having to open the case of my new PC?
In case you are wondering why I don't want the HD's installed in my new PC
it is because I am disabled and cannot do it, also I do not want to void the
warranty on my new PC.
Can my old HD's be connected to a firewire port for example?
For your information both HD's are SATA. I don't mind having to buy a cable
to solve my problem as long as it is not ridiculously expensive.
I hope you can help me.
I appreciate any help or information given.
Thanks!
