Absolutely.
Check out Papajohn's website he has a lot of information about HD video
editing along with some custom profiles for Movie Maker. www.papajohn.org
My info about getting HD videos from a Sony HDR-HC1 was published in my
newsletter #120, distributed on Friday to subscibers. The newsletter will be
online for open viewing with a link on the Digital Camera > Sony page about
the end of the year. The link is online now but not the newsletter.
Until then, I'll sum it up by saying I did the import of the 1080i clips
from the camcorder in Vista using Photo Gallery's capture feature, which
brings it in as a dvr-ms file that Movie Maker in Vista can use.....
.... and captured it from the camcorder in Windows XP using Sony Vegas. Then
used Sony Vegas to make a movie project and render it to an AVI file that
worked in Movie Maker 2.
