Hi, i was wondering if someone could tell me why i can not send attachments
if they are video/media attachments with my emails, as a normal email with
txt and a picture sends fine. The other thing i would like to know is how do
i set associations if i can not find the file type, for example .pps, in the
set association in control panel. I only have Vista Home installed and do not
have any of the microsoft office programes installed in my computer does this
make a difference?

You must either have the pertinent program installed, or the free viewer
for that program extension. So, for example, for a .DOC file you would
need Microsoft Word or the Word Viewer.

For .pps you need PowerPoint. you can get viewer programs that allow you to
view documents created in various MS Products

Your problem with large video files?

Your AV application could be scanning them and causing the delay/time out?
Disable email scanning in your AV software it serves no useful purpose!
Your ISP most probably has a size limitation in place, to get around this
you need to go to WM>tools>accounts>account properties>advanced tab>and set
WM to break apart messages larger than 500KB>apply/OK your way out.

Your recipient would then have to select each part of the broken apart
message while holding the Ctrl key, then on the Message menu choose Combine
& Decode.

HTH?
