having trouble sharing a folder

what would cause all of my attempts to share a folder on the c:\ drive to fail?

i am trying to share a folder "games" on the c:\ drive for the user group
"mp3users"

i have done everything properly for a share on the D:\ drive and it worked
out fine.

i goto permissions. delete everyone. add in the mp3users and voila. but for
some reason i cannot share a folder on c:\

i know it is something stupid i am just forgetting about. can anyone help?

You didn't say what version of XP you have - Home or Pro. If you have Pro,
disable Simple File Sharing (Folder Options>View). You will need to create
user accounts/passwords on the machine that match the user accounts and
passwords on the other machines.
