Argh, it has been a very long time since I used a non-NT version of Windows.
In Outlook Help->About, what does the second line say?

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.
After furious head scratching, George asked:
| Thanks for the post, Milly, but that doesn't solve the problem. When
| I double click on the mail icon in the control folder, the folder
| opens up. That's were the problems start. I selected the C drive and
| made a new folder in the C drive. That didn't solve the problem. I
| still get the same pop up saying that Outlook can't find the files to
| use.
|
| Under the Services heading in the properties screen which comes up
| when one double clicks on the Mail icon, everything seems to be
| correct. It's the same as used by Outlook Express, and Outlook
| Express works (most of the time).
|
| The delivery dab, under Deliver new mail to the following location,
| says "none" and there are no other selections available. I think
| that's the problem, but I don't know how to solve it.

||
|| Have you done this?

||| Can someone please provide detailed instructions on how to do this?
||| One problem seems to be that the screen that says, "Deliver new mail
