Having trouble importing audio into Movie Maker

When I import my wma audio files into Movie Maker I get the message that the
files are protected with digital rights management and won't play.

So, I tried to convert them into mp3 files but when I do so it says that the
files cannot be converted because of a digital rights restriction.

I've tried to burn the music files onto an audio CD and then re-rip them
within the FreeRIP software, it won't let me re-rip them. It shows the
tracks, and I've checkmarked them, but the "rip selected tracks to default
format" icon stays grayed out and won't let me click on it.

I've tried to open the audio files in Audacity but it won't open them "due
to patent restrictions".

I purchased the files from both ITunes and Walmart online. My audio files
have a wma file extension from Walmart online and I also have files with an
m4p extension (iTune files).

I tried going into iTunes into the edit menu, preferences, advanced, and
changed the "import using mp3 setting", but I still can't import the files
into Movie Maker.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks!!!!

You can't use DRM'd files in this fashion.
You'll have to burn them to an
Audio CD first and then re-rip as unprotected files.

Your recommended to use either Nero or Roxio if you have it.
