Having trouble connecting to wireless network

When I start up my desktop computer, it doesn't connect to my wireless
internet. I have to go to "connect to" and do it manually, then it
works fine. My laptop does what it's supposed to, so I'm sure it's
not a problem with the wireless router. Any suggestions?
I'm using Vista home premium, 64 bit.

I think there is a setting in the network connections, that states
"remember and connect automatically to this network"? Try that and see
what happens.
