Hello;
I'd uninstall it (for now) and reboot.
Have a look afterwards in the registry for any data left related to it and
delete all references.

Note all files names and locations to investigate them further.
Something went crooked w. the 1st install and deletion and that may still be
"bothering" the new?

well thing is, I have already did all of that and absolutley no info on my computer about the Executive Diskeeper other then searchs it has left in my internet history for how to fix this problem, or what may be cousing it

also.. it isnt installed

I have problems trying to install it ( after I have already uninstalled it about 1 or 2 months ago.

I have tryed extensive service enable/disable combos and none seem to work on the ones it requires
I have tryed logging into the main Admin
I have tryed just about everything cept the way to fix it lol
Somone please help me...

Is the account you are trying to install from a member of the administrator's group?

Q. How can I run Diskeeper from an account that is not a member of the Administrators group?
A. If the account you are using is not a member of the Administrators group, you will not be able to install or operate Diskeeper. We recommend that you simply use the Set and Forget It feature to set a schedule to allow Diskeeper to run in the background on all systems. Since the Set It and Forget It operation runs under the SYSTEM process, there is no need for an administrator to be logged in when it is running.

Actually im trying to install it, like i said in the above
2 posts.

I only have one MAIN Admin and one that is a member of
administrators group.

both ways doesnt allow me install because during its
finishing process of installing Diskeeper, it says
Starting Servies and it hangs there then thats when it
shows the:

Error 1920.Service Diskeeper(Diskeeper) failed to start.
Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system
services.

I tryed manually starting the services in the
administrator tools in controll panel and I then got:

Could not start the Diskeeper Service on Local Computer.
Error 193: 0xc1

I even enabled the services that it requires on the
programs of the programs I enabled etc.. and still got the
same type of error.

I repeat, I dont have this program installed so I cannot
run it, it hangs during the finishing process of the
installation, see above for details.

Hi,

This situation has been brought up before and there is a correction
for it. You may want to try the FAQ from Executive Software's Support
I've included it below.

Diskeeper for Windows setup program fails with the following message:
"Error 1920." What is wrong?

------------------------

There are three main causes of this 1920 error. The first is the Event
Log service is not set to Automatic. The second is that the Diskeeper
service is already installed, but disabled. The third is that the
system is not recognizing a long path name when it tries to start the
Diskeeper service.

Check the Event Log service to make certain it is set to Automatic.

in Windows 2000 & Windows XP, check the following:

1. From the Start menu, Select Settings, Control Panel, Administrative
Tools and Services.
2. Search the services list for Event Log and double click that
service.
3. If the service is set to automatic, move on to the next section,
4. If it is not set to Automatic, from the Startup type: pull down
menu, select Automatic
5. Select OK
6. Reboot the system

in Windows NT 4.0, check the following:

1. From the Start menu, Select Settings, Control Panel and Services.
2. Search the services list for Event Log and highlight that service.
3. Select the Startup button
4. Select the Automatic radio button from the list in the upper
sub-window
5. Select OK

If the Event Log service is set to automatic and the issue persists,
do the following:

1. Go to Control Panel, Services, look to see if the Diskeeper service
is listed. If it is, check to see if it says it is disabled. If it is
disabled do the following;

a. Run REGEDT32
b. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Diskeeper.
c. Delete the Diskeeper key.
d. Reboot your computer and retry the Diskeeper installation.
e. Diskeeper should now run normally.

2. If the Diskeeper service is not listed under Control Panel,
Services, run the Diskeeper installation again.

3. When the error message, 1920, “Cannot start the Diskeeper service”
comes up, without closing the error box...

4. Go to Control Panel, Services, highlight the Diskeeper service and
hit Start.

5. When the error comes up:

a. Run REGEDT32
b. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Diskeeper.
c. Double-click on ImagePath. Add double quotes (“) at the beginning
and end of the install path.
d. Still without closing the 1920 error box, go to Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, Services, highlight the Diskeeper service and
Start it.

6. If you get an error, cancel the installation and retry it, using an
8dot3 folder path.

7. If there is no error, then go back to the 1920 error box and hit
retry. The installation should complete.

I hope that helps.
