Having Registry issues

One app's database that I use cannot be restored. However when I delete the
key for the app in the registry, I can then restore the database. However
after using the app again, the database cannot be restored.

This appears to be an application issue and you should contact the
vendor.

I figured it out. It was an application issue.

This is usually what you have to tell customers when you do consulting for
them. They expect you to know everything about everything.
