My user account on our home version of Windows XP is set
up as an administrator account. However, when I click
the "Change Network settings" or "Properties" fields on My
Network places, nothing happens. I have checked and re-
checked the user account version and it is set up as a
"computer administrator." Does anyone have any ideas as
to why I am unable to access this information?

Hi Mary Ann,

Viewing the properties of My Network Places with bring up the Network
Connections info. If you go to the Control Panel, can you open up the
Network Connections applet?

This is normal behavior for the AOL adapter in Network Connections. AOL
does not use a standard adapter so the properties are unavailable.
