Having A Tough Time with Outlook

As I think I posted a few days back, my hard drive crashed and I'm
trying to reconfigure Outlook. I reinstalled it off my MS Office CD's
then upgraded off the Microsoft web site. Currently I'm running
Outlook 2000 SP-3 (9.0.0.6627).

Fortunately I had backed up most of my stuff in .pst files, so my
contacts list and a lot of my e-mail is still here.

There are a few things I can't seem to figure out.

First, I see a lot of references to an MS Exchange server. When I
open the Services menu, I just see "Internet E-Mail" with my name. I
have no idea if that's part of what my problem is.

Anyway, before my drive melted down, my wife and I used the same
e-mail account under different names. That is, we share the same
e-mail address and used a pull down box under the Send button where
each of our names would be. We'd just choose which name we wanted to
send mail under. I can't seem to get that up and running again.

Also, (and this is REALLy irritating), Outlook runs different after I
re-installed it. What it used to do was, I'd launch the application,
and it didn't prompt me with a Password box until I clicked the
Send/Recieve button. Now, it prompts me right away. I can't figure
out how to change that.

Also, I loaded the Contab32.dll which worked great before, but now
doesn't see to do anything for the "(e-mail)" I see after every name
on my contacts list.

I'm grateful for any and all help. Hopefully I won't have to go this
again.

You installed Outlook in Corporate or Workgroup mode (check help->About, 2nd
line should tell you.)

You previously had it installed in Internet Mail only mode. Switching modes
will solve most of your questions.

See this page for more information on modes:

Due to the Swen virus, all e-mails sent to this account will be deleted
w/out reading.
