Saw this on another forum and thought it might be interesting.

So do you/have you changed your routers SSID's? I haven't actually changed them, they are still ASUS and ASUS_5G, very boring I know.

I know some say custom SSID's are bad as it can help geolocation, while others say you should change it, but do you?

Bit of info if you're interested: http://routersecurity.org/SSID.php

So come on then, what are you called? :)

Here's a some funny ones, a couple of which I might have to use!

Ours is a random one, just so that we didn't give out anything identifiable - although now that I've seen that list I want to use one of those . I think my favourite is "FBI Surveillance Van #119871", for those that live in the states!

I've only got SSD's in my PC's (or have I missed something here?).

They are called Shinybeast and Andromeda.

Various mechanical HDD's are named Norbert; George; Felicity; Bonzo; Daphne and Horace.

An SSID is a "Service Set Identifier" - more commonly known as the WiFi name :D. I'm glad that your mechanical drives have such sturdy names, they should last well with names like that ;).

I would have thought the obvious name would be Sid (or Ssid) :D

I renamed mine. All three off them.
