Or school is out for the summer.

Occasionally, when there seem to be few posts, I click the Headers button in
the Microsoft Outlook Newsreader, and a whole load of posts from several
days appear. It doesn't always do this, and I don't know why it does it at
all ... but it does.

You might want to try that if you use Outlook.

That's what it says in the title bar of my newsreader. In Help | About, it
says MS Outlook Express 6.

No matter where you go, there you are.

Unfortunately I'm not an MVP, nor likely to get that great honour, so I
would have to pay for it.

Hope this helps

Outlook Newsreader?!

Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
Checked by AVG Anti-Virus (http://www.grisoft.com).
Version: 7.0.230 / Virus Database: 263.3.6 - Release Date:
6/25/2004

Outlook Express is part of XP, just like Messenger is.
I'm not sure about the other versions... but when you install Outlook 2000
and above, and go through the pain of adding the News item to the Go menu...
you can use OE Newsreader. Quite handy :D
