have two questions

(1) what is BMUdate. I get this sometimes when i shut down
(2)Why dont i have windows backup in my system tools

1. Do a google for BMUpdate. There are several possible causes, such as
the drivers for a Visioneer OneTouch scanner, the spyware program Bookmark
Updater, etc.

2. Windows does not install it's backup utility by default. You have to
install it from the Windows CD; I could be wrong but I think it is only
available with WinXP Pro, but not with the Home edition.

?#2 You need to install backup from your XP home cd

it does not install by default on XP home only on PRO.
put your XP cd in and open it with "explore" find the
folder valueadd and open next find a subfolder called MSFT
and open,look for another folder called "ntbackup.msi"
and double click,this should install the reg. backup
program.
