Have to constantly reclick on screen to type

I'm having to constantly keep reclicking on my screen to
type. I'ts as though my my computer is going to sleep
without going to black. Anyone know why, or how to fix
it? Help! I'm about to loose my mind.

Your computer might just be busy doing something else. Is the HD being
accessed at all? Type control-alt-delet and look at the running
processes and anything (other than System Idle Process) taking a large
percentage of CPU. That might give you a clue about what needs to be
done to eliminate the problem. If the Indexing Service is running, it
is remotely possible that it is monopolizing the CPU. Disable the
Indexing service. Check that your anti-virus is not doing a complete
scan also.

The other thing that might be happening is that the mouse cursor is set
to disappear when typing. What happens if you just start typing without
doing anything else?
