Have question about the Windows Viata full package >> not upgrade.

HI everyone i am planing on buying a new hard drive and i am also buying the
windows vista home premium full package and i need to know if I buy a new
hard drive
can i install windows vista into it without having any OS installed on the
new hard drive ....
I mean by just taking my old hard drive of my system and inserting the new
hard drive as the MASTER then if i insert the Windows Vista Home Premium full
package not upgrade DVD will my system boot from the DVD or will i have to
have any OS in that HDD.
Please answer in a simple way i really need a good answer for this question

Very simple answer: YES.

Provisos: your new hard drive is recognised by the BIOS, you get the FULL
version of Vista, not an upgrade.
 
And that the motherboard/BIOS support booting from DVD. Anything made in
the last few years should, based on my experience.
