Have processor and memory. Need ASUS motherboard

I have a 1.4Ghz processor (1.4Ghz/133Mhz Pent III w/ 512KB cache) and
tons of the 512MB DDR 266Mhz CL2.5ECC memory sticks.

Does ASUS have a motherboard that will work with these items? If so,
which ones?

Have had these items sitting on a shelf for months now. They are extra
parts left over from server upgrades.

A while back now, I was interested in a similar question.
The answer was TUA266 (tualatin plus SDRAM or DDR) or a TUV4X
(tualatin plus SDRAM only). The TUA266 was an unstable POS,
which I wouldn't recommend. Since you want to use DDR, the
TUV4X won't help you. There are a number of older 440BX boards
that could use the processor by means of adapters of one sort
or another, but again they use SDRAM.

I tried searching on pricewatch, and this popped up (DVD266 series):

There are also some Supermicro boards, but they would be expensive.
The ones at the bottom of the page for the most part are using SDRAM,
and the one that uses DDR has no AGP slot (based on the VIA chipset
again no doubt):

In the desktop market, when DDR was introduced, there were a few
"transition" boards produced that could run both SDRAM and DDR.
These boards happened to support PentiumIII/Tualatin. After DDR
was fully introduced, the S370 socket was replaced by S478, so you
are not likely to find a lot of candidates. That leaves you with the
server board market as a possible source, but they wouldn't be
cheap.

Better check your memory as well, because it is probably registered
DDR. In that case, a server board is your only option. The board will
be expensive, and due to the size of the boards, you'll need a special
case for them.

The reason the combination of Tualatin and DDR is an unlikely one,
is DDR delivers data at twice the rate that a Tualatin can eat it,
so there is no incentive from a chipset point of view in combining
the two technologies. Quad pumped S478 designs are a much better fit
for DDR. So that TUA266 board mentioned above, doesn't get any benefit
from using DDR.

Thanks for the reply. Lots of good information. I did find a
supermicro board that would do exactly what I need. However, the board
itself is $188. After looking around I can get a barebone P4 system
for only a little more.

Will the 512MB DDR 266Mhz CL2.5ECC memory work on P4 motherboards.
This is server memory, so I know it may not work in all boards.

Go to the Kingston.com website.
Select DDR from the left hand side menu.
Select the speed and size of your memory, like DDR PC2100 or the like.
Click find.
Select module size 184 pins. Click find again.
Find a representative module - KVR266X72RC25/512 (as in this one...)

There is a search button at the bottom of the screen that will list
all the motherboards that can use that memory.

The list from Asus is very short...
