have made an error.now get access forbidden

Playing with new website and ftp. All was well until a few hours ago. I now
get:
"You do not have permission to access/on this server."
I realise its my mistake but what have I done wrong, and how can I fix it???
Firefox and I.E.6 XP2 Home, FTP Surfer

If the server had extensions and you used ftp you have broken the extensions.
Have your host reinstall / repair them.
Afterwards do "not" use ftp.

Unfortunately I do not have extensions. Any ideas?
Working fine till yesterday then I have done something it does not like.

Have you checked the obvious -
Destination is the correct URL for FTP
Username is correct
Password is correct

Username and Password are usually both case sensitive.
