Hello,
I have a 2 year old Compaq 5430US which I recently restored to its
original state when purchased. (i.e. reformatted and loaded the OS
plus selected Compaq software which came with the computer.)
While attempting to migrate files and settings from an older 400 mHz
computer I find there is no 'Use simple file sharing' selection
available in the Folder Options settings
(My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > Files and Folders)
This newer P4 runs XP Home Edition. The older 400 mHz runs XP Pro.
Both these computers are set up on a LAN using a LinkSys router and I
AM able to access the Internet trough the router and a cable modem.
Do any of you know why the "simple file sharing" option is no longer
available?
Is there a way to have restore it without reinstalling the OS?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
