Have lost the bottom part of browser

I just noticed this a while ago but on the bottom of IE
there is usually a part at the bottom that will tell you
the url when you hover over a link and the progress bar.
This has dissapeared from my browser and I did not change
any settings. Do you think I hit some hot keys to make
this go away. I would like this function back
