have i been hacked?

I tried opening mozilla firefox and this is what comes up in a window:

It sounds like something has gone wrong with Firefox (perhaps via a plugin), I doubt you have been hacked though. Does it still do this after a restart? If so, check any of the FF plugins you have installed recently.

Well, at first it was a different pop up box message...something about diskette error. Then i uninstalled and reinstalled. However, when it is extracting..after that nothing appears

BourneSupreme, I've removed your other post on this as you've already mentioned it in here. I don't know what the problem could be, but it looks like others have had a similar error message:
