Have deleted my deleted items but need to retrieve something ?

I have deleted a file of contacts from my contacts list by mistake, along
with some things I intentially deleted. I then emptied my deleted items
folder not realising the list of contacts I needed was in there.
Is there any way I can retrieve them ?

If you're using Exchange, open the Deleted Items folder and click
Tools>Recover Deleted Items. If using a PST, see
