Hi all
I use FP2k on win2k pro sp3
My ISP is ntlworld, cable broadband
I look after 2 sites hosted by Fasthosts, www.t-f-w.co.uk and another under
test at www.metrofinance.co.uk/test these sites are hosted on older
servers, perhaps win NT4 or linux and both operate with FP extensions and I
have no problem updating etc...
I have recently purchased more webspace for www.finance-it.com on one of
the envisage windows 2003 servers. I cannot publish to it, FP reports no
exists on this domain!! but Fasthosts assures me they are installed.
Please read this email I sent to them. with their response and can anyone
advise me on this, can you see the http://www.finance-it.com/fhtest.htm
if you can then why do I have a problem..is some kind of authentication
problem - with this new 2003 server???

I have just copied your test page to my pc and uploaded it to another of my
domains..you can view your test page here and so can I (and I am still using
ntlworld cable)
http://www.t-f-w.co.uk/fhtest.htm
but I cannot view it here http://www.finance-it.com/fhtest.htm in my browser
and FP2000 reports that there are no extensions on www.finance-it.com that
it can publish to
but I know its not a problem with FP2000 because I have just updated a site
at www.metrofinance.co.uk/test (and I am still using ntlworld cable)
So..what is going on..I really must insist that you downgrade me completely
and put me on the same webserver as www.metrofinance.co.uk and
www.t-f-w.co.uk until such time the problem has been sorted.
I think I have done enough testing to prove that there is something amiss
with my webpace and FP server exts
Please advise asap

Dear Edwin,
I have tested the access to the page, and the website itself, from 4
different external connections, and each time the fhtest webpage is
displayed. I am currently unable to find any problems with this website.
There may be an underlying issue with your ISP, and I would recommend
contacting them to check this.

Any advice at all would be greatly received
cheers
