Has MS Spyware been hacked??

I got a pop up asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a new
release of MS Spyware, but when the "upgrade started, it
was not a MS upgrade. Is this a "BOGUS" Upgrade by some
spyware hackers?

The pop up you describe should be white and blue. It is legitimate.

Same issue here!! I clicked for the update and my
system,while it did not crash,slowed waaaaay down,became
unreliable and now is hanging on by a thread! HELP!!
I restored to Monday 6/20 and could then load/browse but
it is DEFINITELY damaged!!
 
I had no trouble, went to your link, d/l , installed, and all is fine..

i guess so . first uninstall it, then install a new

version after downloading the setup again. Atleast try
that. Now see if that update comes again.(the bogus one)
