I am looking at deploying Microsoft Software Update Services as a way of
keeping all our computers up to date with patches. Does anyone have any
input on if this is good or not?

Thanks.

Yes. It works very well. It does take some inital
configuration to get it running properly.

Whether you want it to or not. If you have complete faith that Microsoft
will not release an update that can cause problems (as they have so many
times in the past), or if your systems are not mission-critical and are
regularly backed-up, then by all means, feel comfortable using it.

Umm...

How exactly do you find these updates that cause problems in your
environment? By trying them on a test network setup perhaps? And SUS
prevents you from doing this how?
