Has anyone been able to install the original Duke Nukem?

I am not referring to both the DOS version and the followon Windows version?
I went to the DOS prompt and tried to install the original and Vista locked
up. Is there a workaround?

Duke Nukem Manhattan Project was the only one that was DirectX all other other are Dos base.
