Hardware wizard

Every time I start windows xp home, the add new hardware
wizard starts and trys to add a printer, which does not
exist, can anyone help me?

.Need more info. is there anything connected to your
paralell port? or is there a storage, or copyright
protection device etc of any kind in a USB port? [I have
had a partion which should not need to have a devices's
software, as the hardware is intended for another part. I
quit after i cancelled however]; if it does this
continuously, , there MUST be a hardware device somewherem
or there is a REAL problem

None of that sems to apply. There is nothing conected to
the paralell port.
I am stumped I have a usb mouse, webcam,scanner,conected
to the system via a 4 port usb hub. all these devices
work properly.I currently have no printer attached.
any ideas would be accepted.
