Hi:

I remember reading somewhere there is a hardware which allows me to boot
from one of the hard-disks in a system. Typically I would be able to have a
couple of hard-disks with different OS installed. The device is a switch of
sorts that allows me to choose from which hard disk I want to boot from.

Would anyone know a url I could visit to find out more about it.

TIA

why the effort? Why not install a bootloader? Or like with my KT400 board
I can hit F8 at post and select which IDE device to boot off.

You could use removable hard drive caddies, like these:

fit the adapter in the case, and the card drives in the caddies.

I have three, one with Win 98, one with Win 2000 pro and one with XP, very
useful when learning for the MCSE to be able to swap systems by changing the
hard drive.

Check your BIOS for an option to change the Hard Drive Boot Order.
This is how I do it, just changing which hard drive boots as the C:
drive.
