Hi,

The target PC, on which I will run tap.exe will have a custom PCI card and
drivers I provide. It will also have a USB device and drivers I provide.
However I get the feeling that when I run the tap.exe it is intended to get
the basic hardware configuration of the target PC. I assume that I do not
have to have my hardware connected nor their drivers installed. I assume
that the Windows XP install I have on the target PC is not critical and is
just necessary to run tap.exe

Actually it is a good idea to have these devices connect. The drivers don't
have to be installed, but if you ahve them ready isntall them. Let TAP run
and the PMQ import log will show that these custom devices don't have
components in the database. Once you have the custom driver components
created, you can then re-import the PMQ file a test to see if the import
picks up the new components.
