hardware req'd. to convert pc dial up modem to wireless service

Help,
Has anyone converted a windows xp pc from dial up to wireless?
would appreciate knowledge of hardware, or possibly software
required.
 
This is a .NET programming group, so it isn't the place for this sort of
question.

However...What do you mean, "wireless?"

Do you mean using a provider like Verison or AT&T, via some sort of 3G or
other cellular connection? If so, then you purchase the adapter from the
provider (usually $100, or more), and connect it to your computer. Choose a
USB adapter to make this easy. This will come with a CDROM that has the
required drivers. Install the drivers and sofware provided -- use their
instructions. Pay the monthly connect charges, and you are good to go.

If you mean something else, then the answer is, "it depends."
