hi folks,

I have Petrofine version 5.3 Application and I need to
install it to my IBM Thinkpad X22 laptop with docking
station. The Petrofine Application need the hardware key
or dongle to run normally and it is connected in the
parallel port located in the docking station. The
installation of Petrofine Application was successfully
completed together with the hardware key or dongle driver.
But when I run the Application it failed to detect the
Dongle. I try to install another dongle driver but still
the same error. I also try this on my desktop but the
application runs normal. My isolation is the problem maybe
the connection of Latop and its Docking station. Any
suggestion for me to use my Petrofine in X22 laptop with
docking station.

Thanks in advance,
Cristoper A. Frago

You might try approaching kbcat (the manufacturer of Petrofine) for
support.

Sir, tnxs a lot but I try that one before and also doesn't
work. I think the problem is the interface between docking
and laptop. Any more suggestion.........

The parallel port of many systems can be set to 2 or 3
different configurations in the BIOS. You might try it
with each configuration and see if it works. I have seen
cases where this a different configuration solved the
problem.
