I get this blue screen now upon booting of windows.

Im pretty sure my video driver is an ATI Rage 128 Pro driver. I have,
however, NOT made any additions or modifications to my hardware, and I
have not even opened the pc case!

I've never got this problem so severely, and I have not touched this
driver. Can anyone please provide me with insight? I've downloaded
the supposed upgrade for the driver, but I am not sure if it is the
appropriate one.

Thank you immensely for your assistance,

Is W2K installed with ACPI HAL or Standard HAL? Messing with ATI drivers is
bad news, you need to positively identify your video card model so you know
what driver you need. So keeping the case closed is a bad idea.

Disconnect the AC cable before removing an expansion card for inspection on
an ACPI compatible board.

Mike: I haven't installed any software recently, which makes this
even more cryptic. I'm told that IRQ errors are very old and don't
occur any more. I don't think my video card is that old - Rage 128
Pro?

Salt: Are you suggesting that I remove the video card from the slot?
Sorry I am not familiar with ACPI HAL/Standard HAL. Will these be
identified on the physical vidoe card? What will either signify?

Thanks for your help!
