Hardware Installs

I can no longer install hardware on my PC. It comes up
with a message that says the data is invalid. I have
tried all of the fixes listed in the microsoft
knowledgebase including replave the drivers.cab file in
the drvier cache directory. When I check in device
manager, all have the same code 28 driver not installed.
