hello i am running xp /xp pro
on my motherboard the ps/s input for your keyboard on the
pc itself, i need to know how u disable that because it
became lose from the motherboard it self and i want to
make my keyboard a serial into the serial port but when i
put the serial adapter on the ps/s keyboard and lights up
once when i power pc on but shuts back off meaninging the
num lit goes off how do i make it that it works i need
to disable the ps/2 on the board right? i dont know how
to do that,

question 2: i want to hook a 2nd hardrive into my
computer for storage on windows how do i hook this 2nd hd
up along with the plan cd-rom thats hooked up on the
secondary controller ide i need to know what does the cd
need to be jumperd as and what do i juper set the hd as
on the secondary ide
 
For you keyboard, you can not make the PS/2 keyboard SERIAL. I have never
seen a standard PS/2 keyboard which could be converted to a serial
connection. I do see those specialised numeric keypad keyboard which you
can connect to serial ports.

You can not disable the PS/2 keyboard port on most motherboard. However, if
you have USB ports, you may be able to connect a USB keyboard to one of
them.
