is there a way to check which hardware (cpu / dvd-drive / mainboard) was in a
XP-system in the past (not at the moment) or can i see somewehere if there
was a change in the hw-components ?

Can I see something with systemrecovery ?

in the registry HKLM i can see which cpu is now in the system

i can make a systemrestore (normal XP Funktion) from a time i want o check
the cpu.
In this restoredata the information must be there (but imnot sure), if there
was another cpu in the system.

but if i will boot the restored system and there was another cpu in the past
the system automatically detects the actual cpu

perhaps i can read the backuped systemfiles ?

can i make a restore with v2i in a vmware session ?

can i see how old the registry entries for the cpu are ?

any ideas ?
