Do you work at the Taiwanese wage rate ? That is who you
are competing with. I ran into a former colleague from work, who
used a Taiwanese firm for design work, and exactly 3 months from
signing the contract, hardware arrived ready to go (plastics and all).
It is really hard to compete against those guys. Good luck.

A valid point.
I met with 2 ex-colleagues who went to a far east company for their product
realization. The far east co are doing quite well, but my two friends are
without a product! Of course, design theft doesn't happen to everyone.
