Hardware Acceleration

Infinity--X

When I play some of my games, a pop-up interrupts my game
(sometimes crashing game/computer) witht he message

"To enable the advanced soundeffect for gaming, please
make sure the setting of Hardware Acceleration
is "full"..."

It tells me to set the acceleration to full, but I have
double checked and it already is at full, I can't play
games without this happening, even if I hit OK it will
pop right back up when I go back into my game.

Thanks,
Infinity

Hi Infinity,

If you've updated your sound card drivers, which make
/ model sound card and driver version do you have?

I'm not sure, where can I find this information?
I've checked in Sounds and Audio Devices in control panel
but I dont know where to look from there.

Hi Infinity X,

To identify the type of sound card and driver version:
Click Start
Click Run
Type: dxdiag

Once the dxdiagnostics utility load up:
Click the Sound Tab
In a reply to this post:
Type the Name of the Device,
Type the Name of the Driver, Version, Date and Provider.
