hardly kno what I'm doin' to be honest

Just got a new desktop with XP and have a Kodak camera that shoots video.

So, I did an experimental 10 minutes of video to see what it'd look like.
Then transfered the video I shot to a CD.
It was only after that, that I discovered Movie Maker on my pc. There were
instructions I found in a book on letting MM do the work automatically. But,
I couldn't seem to get the video transferred drom the CD to MM to work it's
magic.
I did see a clip in mm but couldn't import it or drag anything.

Gee, hard ta tell I'm new at this huh?
Would much appreciate any advice you may have.

The Kodaks I have seen shoot video in
the QuickTime .mov format. The problem
you are experiencing is that MovieMaker
is not compatible with .mov files.

Before you can import your video clips into
MovieMaker they will have to be converted
to a compatible format.
