I have no idea why, but my hard drive is nearly full. If
I check the properties of the whole drive I have about 37
gigs full, but if I check the individual properties of
the files on the harddrive I total under 10 gigs. Can
someone please e-mail me and tell me what may be
accounting for this difference in addition. Thank you
very much.

Is your folder options configured to show system files
and folders? If not, your system files could be taking
up the space and you wouldn't be able to see them to
check their properties. I wouldn't think that system
files would take up that much HDD space, but it sounds
like you have some hidden files and folders taking up
space.

Adam,

Some of the hidden folders are:

1.System Volume Information (major part)
2.Recycler
3.Recycled
4. FOUND.XXX (chkdsk fragments) (major)

There may be many other such hidden/system/superhidden files.
