'HardDrive not installed' When Installing XP

Make a long story short, I reformatted my HD using the
WINXP reinstall disc and proceeded to reinstall XP Home.
However, the install prog would give me a stop error or
freeze every time. Now, when i run the install it says
that there is no HD installed even though it shows in the
BIOS and I've tried it with another HD also.

Is it the same stop error with both drives?
What is the stop error?
