HardDrive? MotherBoard?

OK first off i was installing windows xp on my comptuer and well it i
restarted a few times when it got done and then it just shut off in the
middle of something and everytime it got to the windows xp thing on start up
it just like kicks off (turns off) so i figured i will install it again and
then now when i got to install it it sayes disk may be damage...I got buy a
new harddrive and sayes the same thing all my cables are hooked right and
everything. What could this be i started to think the motherboard ideports
where bad but i am not sure what could i try? and i even changed the ide
cables out too.

If the install has partially completed try booting to Safemode.If you
can get there you can disable the shutdown on error option.
My Computer/Right Click/Advanced/Startup And Recovery.
This may let you work on XP long enough to sort what may be a drivers
problem.
