Hello,

My configuration is
EPOX 8KDA3J (nforce3)
AMD64 3200+
1024 DDR
HDD : Samsung SP1614C

My harddisk is shown in the system tray as a USB device.
Can it give problems when I want to share this harddisk?

In my network, I can access another computer, but from the other computer I
can't access mine.
On the other computer, network location, my computer is shown but I can't
enter. I get a messagebox "you don't have the right to access the computer".
There are no firewalls active. I've installed SP2, Uninstalled SP2, but it
doesn't work.

I think the harddisk that is shown as a USB device is the cause, although
I'm not sure.

Can anyone help me?

Thx,
Weeepie

Are you certain it's the hard drive, not a USB drive or
memory reader/bay-thingy, a printer with media bay or some
other removable storage device?

Did you set up shares? i mean, set a new share for the LAN?

Do you have filesharing implemented on this system at all,
in network properites and then drives in My Computer?

Yes, it shows SP1614C

Yes, All partitions, except C:\ are shared. In Network
allocations everything I can see them.

Yes
But the question USB device stays.
