Hard drives and XP Hanging

A previous user indicated that the computer hung during testing. I have a
similar issue. I have two SATA drives. Drive 1 has two partitions, the main
boot and drive f. The drive is one partition 2. I try copying files from
drive 1 to drive 2 and the computer hangs when moving a 1 or 4 gb file.
Drive 2 also has my music and pictures folders. In Explorer, XP takes a
while to display thumbnails, 30 to 40 seconds. I have used chkdsk to find
errors on both drives. I have also used norton disk doctor. No errors on
the drives come up.

This is a reinstallation of XP. Could my install be corrupted?

you probably need to install the correct drivers for the SATA controllers
If they are "on-board" they are probably on your chipset drivers cd
that came with the mobo.

At any rate. they'd be avail from the manufacturer
