Hard drive

My Presario is fairly new and I,m getting hard drive error before start up and it takes 5 times longer to do anything with it. Five months ago I installed Verto graphix card and added 256 of DDR RAM. It installed easily and ran with good results till now. Thank you for any help.

Could you please post back with the exact text of the error message and tell
us exactly at what point the error occurs?
