lately my pc has been making clicking sounds and it
appears that it is whinning under the power button is a
dim yellow light that comes on when this sound and click
happens and my computer seems slow since I noticed this
clicking. Any ideas what this means or what I can do to
stop this?
Thanks

The hd is about the only device that would do that, some drive mfg hav
utilitys that you can dwnload from thier site to chk the drive.Other than that
you can open event viewer and chk for system problems,if the drive is over
year old its probably running at 5800 rpm, purchase a new drive. Most new drive
now run at 7800,you can then set old as slave and enjoy all the benifits that add
to the system.

the light comes on when your hard drive is being read or written to. On
older drives, you can hear a sound when that happens. However, since you've
only begun hearing it recently, it may mean that the hard drive is about to
fail.
